Madiba had a vision of equality in South Africa, through both education and economic empowerment. At the Love Trust, though our school for vulnerable children, our Early Childhood Development (ECD) program and ECD Teacher Training Centres, we strive to empower South Africa’s youth by giving them the best possible start in life against all odds: a solid educational foundation.
South Africa’s Broad-Based BEE legislation is an incentive for all businesses, including small and medium enterprise to become part of the transformation process in our country. Your donations and contributions towards our programs enable the development of skills and enterprise within South Africa, and the results are reflected in favourably in your company’s BBBEE scorecard.
Companies can currently earn up to 43 points* by making a contribution to our worthy cause.
Skills Development by contributing towards our ECD Teacher Training program
We partner with the Teacher’s Learning Centre, an accredited training provider with ETDP SETA. The material provided is SAQA accredited and students who complete their level 4 training are awarded an FET certificate. The demographics for our students as of the end of last year are: 93% Black Female, 1% Black Male, 2% Coloured Female, 1% Indian Female and 3% While Female. We also have 7 students studying towards their Bed degree through UNISA.
Enterprise Development, by contributing towards our Early Childhood Development (ECD) Fieldwork
All beneficiaries (ECD centre owners are 100% Black owned, exempt micro enterprises.
Socio-Economic Development, by contributing towards Nokuphila School.
Both are schools that cater for the education and moral development of vulnerable children from financially disadvantaged homes.
